Our Story

Built on Experience, Driven by Vision

Michael and Sam met at UUNET in the late 90’s and became office-mates at Cable & Wireless in the early 2000’s. They parted ways for a few years as Michael went on to become a part owner of a digital marketing/web development firm and Sam went to work for Verizon as a Product Marketing Manager in their Web and Colocation division. After one more job change each they knew they didn’t want to work for “the man” anymore.

In 2009 Michael decided he wanted to start his own Digital Marketing firm focusing on SEO, PPC, SMM, Email Marketing and Website Design services. He told Sam about his grand plan over a few beers and Sam jumped on board. They both quit their jobs and started Conversion Pipeline. Their combination of drive, sales skills, and marketing experience allowed them to generate revenue and grow the company from the ground up.

They brought Harry in a few years later when they decided to up their SEO game. Harry developed search engine optimization training programs at Network Solutions and has consulted with hundreds of companies to help them develop their search marketing strategies.

Just four years after our incorporation in 2009, Conversion Pipeline won Small Business of the Year and in June of 2017 the President’s Award from the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce. That was the result of excellent client support, community involvement and the successful management of numerous marketing and advertising campaigns. In March 2017, Conversion Pipeline was listed by CIO Review Magazine as one of the 20 Most Promising Google Technology Solutions Providers and in August of 2017 & 2018 were named one of the Top 25 Advertising Agencies by the Washington Business Journal.

Our Team

The People Behind
Conversion Pipeline

Michael Delpierre

_CEO Co-Founder & CEO

Michael loves mixing plaid and stripes and embroidered flip flops. His passions are PPC, exotic yet ample lunches, golf for “networking“, and early morning walks with his dog. His specialty is winning free stuff from Google and curating the office artwork.

Sam Collingwood

_CEO Co-Founder & COO

Sam is the Local Citation and Link Builder-In-Chief.  He ensures projects are completed on time, the company runs smoothly, and loves a good metal concert and shorts in the winter. His passions are playing old man Lacrosse, jamming’ out with Harry and scaring unsuspecting people in the CP hallway.

Harry Brooks

_Partner & CMO

Harry’s superpower is being able to explain SEO to anyone. He’s not lactose intolerant, he just doesn’t like certain kinds of cheese. His favorite time to come in to the office is when everyone else is gone so he can write on Nick’s whiteboard in permanent marker. On the weekends you can find him in his zombie bunker wearing his tinfoil hat.

Brittny Novak

_Design Manager

Yes, her name is spelled that way on purpose. Brittny is Conversion Pipeline’s in-house designer and 90s cartoon enthusiast. When she’s in creative-mode, Brittny can be seen with her giant headphones on listening to anything and everything musical. When she isn’t making design masterpieces for us, you can find her doodling in her studio or volunteering at dog rescues.

Jeanine David

_Digital Marketing Manager

Never shying away from a challenge & always seeking an opportunity to learn is what makes Jeanine a digital marketing guru. Her same tenacious attitude applies while enjoying time with her four children. In her spare time, she is most likely spending her time outdoors, running, hiking or walking her dog. In the summertime, Jeanine can be found creating lifelong, lakeside memories with family.

Sammy Collingwood

_Digital Marketing Manager

Sammy is a Google Ads guru and digital marketing strategist who thrives on finding the perfect balance between data-driven decisions and gut instinct. When not optimizing campaigns, you’ll catch Sammy hanging out with his dogs, testing out entertaining AI tools, and aggressively refreshing analytics dashboards. He firmly believes that coffee is a meal, ad copy should always have a little personality, and that learning never stops—unless it’s about assembling IKEA furniture, then he’s out.

Evan Roberts

_Content Manager

Evan is a professional content creator and self-admitted horrible singer so he sticks to his keyboard instead of the mic. When Evan isn’t crafting magical words for his clients, you can find him grubbing down at one of his mainstays around the city.
